Colace® Stool Softener is a stimulant-free solution that offers a gentle and comfortable approach to provide effective relief. It typically promotes bowel movements within a timeframe of one (1) to three (3) days.
With its active ingredient, docusate sodium, the stool softener works by gently softening the stool, making it more manageable to pass and alleviating discomfort associated with constipation symptoms.
Additionally, facilitating stool evacuation reduces the need for straining during bowel movements.

Usage Information
Dosage
A usual adult dose is 10 to 20 mL one to two times per day with a half glass of milk or fruit juice. Dosage should not exceed 48 mL in 24 hours.
A usual child dose, for children between 6 to 11 years old, is 5 mL one to two times a day with half glass of milk or fruit juice. Dosage should not exceed 15 mL in 24 hours.
Ingredients:
Active ingredient: Docusate Sodium (10 mg /mL).
Non-active ingredients: Citric Acid, Methylparaben, PEG-400, Poloxamer 188, Propylene Glycol, Propylparaben, Red 33, Sodium citrate, Vanillin, Water.
Storage - Store between 15°C and 25°C. Keep the package upright and sealed tight. Keep out of reach of children.
Cautions and Warnings:
Do not use:
- If you have abdominal pain, nausea, fever or vomiting.
- With other medicines or if you are presently taking mineral oil.
- If you are on a low salt diet.
- For longer than 7 days (frequent or prolonged use may result in dependence on laxatives).
- If you’re pregnant or breast-feeding, consult a healthcare professional prior to using.

Dosage

A usual child dose, for children between 6 to 11 years old, is 15 mL one to two times a day with half glass of milk or fruit juice. Dosage should not exceed 37.5 mL in 24 hours.
